Pop! By Mitch Johnson

This book is a great book. I really enjoyed it. It is exciting and you get really engrossed in the book. The book is about a fizzy drinks company and a girl called Queenie. When the world's beloved fizzy drinks receipe goes missing it is up to Queenie to save it, but the bad guys are after her and the company is all about money. How will Quennie survive against a polluted, all about money company. I would reccomend this book to any child aged 8+ and adult. I would r
ate this book 9/10 as it is exciting and I could see this becoming a movie.

The Screen Thief-by Helen Docherty

This is a picture book that was sent to me by the author as one of the characters wears glasses. I did not know much about the book, but when I read it I really enjoyed it and it was an amazing book. I absolutely loved the glasses being included in the book, but aside from that I loved that it rhymed but made sense and not a silly story. The book is about a snaffle who tries to make friends but likes eating screens. The moral was how much people use screens and how much you miss without them. The illustrations were brilliant. I rated this 8 / 10 because I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fabulous book. kids will love this like Julia Donaldsons rhyming books, great for homes, libraries and schools.

Sprout-by Taylor Tyng

I was honoured to be sent this draft to read by the author. I loved this book. The book is very different and I was gripped from the first chapter, it is not a scary book. The book is about a girl called Sprout (it explains why in the book) who is different from everyone else and tries to hide this by wearing a hat and not going to school incase people pick on her for her abnormality. She has to learn about her differences throughout the book and people want to keep her in a hospital and run tests on her. Will sprout get away? Will she ever be able to have a normal life? who are the twins in suits that keep appearing? why has her dad, that she doesn't speak to keep telling her to be safe? Who is the girl in the woods similar to her and what are planters? I would give this book a 10/10 it was brilliant, I couldn't put it down and it had lors of plot twists.

Rebel Animals At Risk-Kimberlie Hamilton

This book is a non-fiction book. It has beautifully illustrated pictures of different animals and tells you lots of interesting facts under each heading, such as Hedwig from Harry Potter the owl who played it. Loads of interesting facts. This book is a must for schools, libraries and families to read at home. I found it really interesting and loved the facts and pictures so rate it 9/10.

Rab and His Lucky Shell- by Andrea Bowker

I loved this picture book because it is about being kind and explains how being different is okay. This book is about Rab who has a lucky shell that he loves and about Clara a crab that is different to the others and thinks no one likes her. The illustrations are lovely and colourful and there is a colouring in part and crab facts at the end that were interesting and I learnt a few things. I would give this picture book an 8 as it's not too long, has a brilliant hidden meaning and is a nice story.

The Magicians Map (book 2 The House on Hoarder Hill)- Nikki Lish and Kelly Ngai

I didn't know what to expect with the second book to House on Hoarder Hill. It is so hard to follow on from such a good book, would this continue from the last book ? This book though had me gripped from the start, it delved more into magic and an exciting adventure that the main characters take following a map. I really enjoyed this book. I found it hilarious with Stan and Doug and Chit and Chat. It was brilliantly written as it had a chapter to one set of characters and then another for the others. These two books were equally good. I hope there are many more books to come. I rate this book 9/10

My book review-The House on Hoarder Hill

This is an amazing book, the story is about a boy and a girl going to stay with their Grandad. They discover their Grandma disseapeared when the Grandad was doing a magic trick. The house is not all it seems and someone keeps leaving them messages around the house. I loved reading this book as it was exciting, had adventure and cliffhangers. Who has been leaving the kids the messages? Can magic 🎩 change their lives ? Who can they call on for help ? If there is just one book to read this year, make sure it's this one !!! I would rate this book 9.5/10

My book review- Summer Brook Spring besties #1

This book is about an eleven year old girl who has moved from London with her family to Australia. Dealing with a new country, farm and missing her friends she finds it hard, but ends up making friends with a girl and other locals. Swapping London city life for an Australian farm. I love the cover having glasses on the character but also talking about getting prescription sunglasses is amazing. If she goes swimming in the other books she may have prescription goggles too ! I really enjoyed this book and reading about Australia. I would give this book an 8/10

My book review-Snow Foal

My favourite thing about being sent a book is that it lets me explore stories I wouldn't necessarily have read or heard about before. This book is about a little girl who is sent to live with a foster family as her mum isn't well. She doesn't want to live there and tries to leave. A lonely foal wins her heart and helps her to build up a friendship with another foster boy who can't speak. Will her mum get better and allow her to come home ? You will have to read to find out. I would give this book 8/10

My book review-Land of stories-The Enchantress Returns book 2

I loved reading the second land of stories. I really liked how it referred to the last book. The story is about Alex and Connor going to the land of stories to save their Mum. Alex and Connor set out on an incredible adventure about friends and family. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10
