The Spellbound Tree - Mikki Lish and Kelly Ngai
This book is part of a series of The House on Hoarder Hill, which I often review and promote with my friends, family, school and online because it is so brilliant! (no endorsement)
The first book was based in the Grandpa's house and the second book was travelling around, so I was interested to see where the next story would be based and it was worth the wait !
This book was an absolutely fantastic book by two fantastic authors.
The book has everything you want in a book. Magic, loveable characters and an exciting plot twist.
If you haven't read the first two books firstly why not ? and secondly go get them now.
The third book has all of your favourite characters in but on a different adventure, where they have to save the magic before it's too late and on this journey they have challenges to over come and plot twists to deal with.
Overall I would rate this 9/10, as I love how everyones favourite duo Stan and Doug are back although may be not as whole as they would have liked and there's even a character that wears glasses included !! amazing....
My only question is when do we get the fourth book in the series ?

This Poisoned Heart - by Kalynn Bayron
This is a young adult book and different than my middle grade usual books. I was tempted to read it because the cover looked great (she wears glasses !!) there was a good blurb and the book was all over twitter saying how great it is.
I read this book really fast as I really enjoyed this book. It is about a girl called Briseis who can control planets. She is adopted and inherits a big house which reveals the secrets of her powers. I would reccomend this to anyone, it's different and exciting and I'm currently reading the latest book in the series.

Amari and The night brothers -By B.B Alston
This book is a great book that I would highly recommend. It's exciting, about magic and Amari's disappearing brother.
Amari is desperate to find her brother who is missing. The only way for her to find him is for Amari to sign up to a magical school and learns about a whole supernatural world she knew nothing about whilst doing it.
It's an easy book to read and is exciting so you can't put it down.
It's magical and mystical.
If there is one book to read this year, make sure it's this one.
My dog also loves this book on audio and listens to it every night.
The second book is just as good i'm currently reading it.
I would rate this book 9/10

Firstly can I just say that this book has a character with glasses on the front which is brilliant !
About the book- I really enjoyed reading this book, it was really interesting and different. It was fun to read and I liked the email style and it was cool how it also had websites so had lots of facts.
The book is about a little girl who loves art, but her parents are obsessed with starfish and aquariums. She has to solve a mystery of the stolen Mona Lisa painting.
The book is funny and has lots of different types of stuff to read like articles, letters, blogs, emails and much more.

Time School We will stand with them- By Nicola Young
Firstly I love that one of the characters on the cover has glasses on.
I really enjoyed Time School, I even brought it to read at school with me as a class book.
I have read several books from the series and they are all brilliantly written.
The books are about a group of kids that go back in time and seeing their school in different time periods. It's a great idea how the time travelling happens and is linked to history.
The books are interesting. Every time the kids go back in time, it is always to do with one of the kids family histories.
I would rate this book 8 out of 10 because it is really interesting and if you love history you will love this book as well as Nicola Youngs book Series, so please check them out !

A Tale of Sorcery (3rd book in the Tale of Magic series)by Chris Colfer
I love this series, the books have so much magic and adventure in them, I can't put them down. If you haven't read any Chris Colfer books you won't be familiar with The Land of Stories series. Some of these characters are covered in those books, so you can read any set first.
This book is the 3rd in the series of A Tale of Magic.
I have read all of these books with my family on an evening and I am so glad Brystal Evergreen is starring in another fabulous tale.
she has a limited time to live and a mission to complete. Can she do it ? I didn't know what would happen or how it would end with lots of new characters, lands and characters dieing right until the end. Please Chris put us out of our misery and say there will be a 4th book.
I am giving this book a 9.5 because it's briliant and different. It takes you to a land away from real life and I really enjoyed reading this.
The Accidental diary of B.U.G Accidentally Famous by Jen Carney

The book is about a girl called Belinda Upton Green, but all the bullies at her school call her bug. In this book, book 2 in the series She becomes friends with her enemy and becomes a local hero. I like the diary style the book is written in and I can't wait for the third one in the series. I would give this fabulous book an 8.5 out of 10, because it is so fabulous. I loved it and really enjoyed reading it I've also reccomended it to my sister.

The House on the Edge- by Alex Cotter
I found this book to be really interesting. I didn't know where it was going as it was really unpredictable. It is discriptive which makes you feel you are in the book whilst reading it.
I felt sorry for the main character as she has to look after her sick mum, her brother and her house that is falling apart since her father left. She has a lot to do and doesn't want to live with her Uncle.
Will the house fall into the sea? will her father come back? Are there really ghosts living under her house that her brother is talking to?
I don't want to spoil it for you, so I will let you read it for the answers.
I think this book was brilliant ! I'm so glad I read it. I would give it 8.5/10
I would definitely recommend a read to anyone that is looking for a good book.

The Shark Caller by Zillah Bethell
This book was a really different story than ones that I have previously read. Some of the book is written with a different language, which took me time to adjust to, but I really got into the book.
I really enjoyed reading this book as the story was interesting, the main characters were good.
The book is about a girl whose parents were killed by a shark and how her life has changed since, she isn't allowed to be a shark caller as a girl, which frustrates her.
I would reccomend this book to anyone and rate it 8.5/10

When the Princess found a Dragon - G.R Chambers
This book is a picture book that I was sent to review and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is about a princess who wants to find a dragon, but everyone says she won't be able to find one.
This book teaches you as the saying goes, to not judge a book by it's cover ! Are all dragons bad ? and that you can do anything that you put your mind to.
I like how the book rhymes.
I would rate this 8 out of 10.
I would recommend for anyone to read this book, for kids from ages 5+ to read aloud and it's great for families to read at bed time.
There are beautiful pictures and I really enjoyed reading this.

The Land of Stories, A Grimm warning By Chris Colfer
This is the third book in The Land of Stories book series, all about fairytale characters. This book is just as good as the other two books, following on from each one with the same and new characters, but a different story. If you enjoyed the first two you will definitely enjoy this book. Without giving anything away, as the book picks off from the ending of the previous book, the main characters are back in the land of stories.
I would rate this book 8.5/10
Pop! By Mitch Johnson
This book is a great book. I really enjoyed it. It is exciting and you get really engrossed in the book. The book is about a fizzy drinks company and a girl called Queenie. When the world's beloved fizzy drinks receipe goes missing it is up to Queenie to save it, but the bad guys are after her and the company is all about money. How will Quennie survive against a polluted, all about money company.

The Screen Thief-by Helen Docherty
This is a picture book that was sent to me by the author as one of the characters wears glasses. I did not know much about the book, but when I read it I really enjoyed it and it was an amazing book.
I absolutely loved the glasses being included in the book, but aside from that I loved that it rhymed but made sense and not a silly story.
The book is about a snaffle who tries to make friends but likes eating screens. The moral was how much people use screens and how much you miss without them. The illustrations were brilliant.
I rated this 8 / 10 because I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fabulous book. kids will love this like Julia Donaldsons rhyming books, great for homes, libraries and schools.

Sprout-by Taylor Tyng
I was honoured to be sent this draft to read by the author. I loved this book. The book is very different and I was gripped from the first chapter, it is not a scary book. The book is about a girl called Sprout (it explains why in the book) who is different from everyone else and tries to hide this by wearing a hat and not going to school incase people pick on her for her abnormality. She has to learn about her differences throughout the book and people want to keep her in a hospital and run tests on her. Will sprout get away? Will she ever be able to have a normal life? who are the twins in suits that keep appearing? why has her dad, that she doesn't speak to keep telling her to be safe? Who is the girl in the woods similar to her and what are planters?
I would give this book a 10/10 it was brilliant, I couldn't put it down and it had lors of plot twists.

Rab and His Lucky Shell- by Andrea Bowker
I loved this picture book because it is about being kind and explains how being different is okay. This book is about Rab who has a lucky shell that he loves and about Clara a crab that is different to the others and thinks no one likes her. The illustrations are lovely and colourful and there is a colouring in part and crab facts at the end that were interesting and I learnt a few things.
I would give this picture book an 8 as it's not too long, has a brilliant hidden meaning and is a nice story.
